Good to see someone doing real experiments thankyou very much Phitt, from this information it can probably be seen that potentially doing some tweaking to the current scaling would be a lot more efficient than hand replacing everything. Due to the way the level up system works the cave will become harder the closer you get to level 25, afterwards it will become easier again. The Alternate Start Arrive By Ship mod from Robert_evrae cuts out the rather laborious chore of an intro in favor of captaining a ship that just so happens to enter the port of either the Imperial City or Anvil. Oblivion's intro through the Imperial City's rat-infested prison catacombs can be a bit of a slog to get through, especially after repeated playthroughs.
